I was delighted to participate on the design team for a very important project for Instagram back in 2012. Our task was to design and support a self-contained kiosk for Instagram that would be used by celebrities in a loud environment filled with paparazzi.
The Instagram Instastop appeared at many high-profile red carpet events for several years including: The Hollywood Film Awards, Billboard Music Awards, The Golden Globes, and Premio Lo Nuestro. Each time allowing excited fans to ask 1-on-1 questions to their favorite celebrities.
As a user experience designer, I was tasked with developing a design system that ensured flawless performance for first-time-users . User testing and iteration was critical before we shipped the final product as most celebrities would only be able to spend less than a minute total with Instagram as they were ushered down the runway.
